I am Rick Skalak, the owner of RA DesignStudio and I have over 50 years of experience creating commissioned artwork. I painted my first mural when I was 11 years old. I honed my craft and expanded my skills to include architectural / interior design, fine art printmaking, kitchen and bath design and have coalesced it all into the creating a studio of mosaic artworks.

I was a co-founder of Vita Nova Products where I was the primary art director for 20 years. We designed and built mosaic, stone and glass floors and murals for The Wynn Hotel, The Bellagio, The Plaza Hotel in New York, The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado. Our creations adorn the finest hotels, restaurants, houses of worship, and beautiful homes around the world.  

I delight in collaborative projects. I love to bring my clients vision to fruition and am always open to new challenges.
